AHS’s new initiative—Client-Directed Home Care Invoicing (CDHCI)—takes a more individualized approach to senior home care in Edmonton and the rest of Alberta. Older adults and their families get a chance to select their desired homecare providers through this program. Most of the cost is covered by provincial healthcare. The program enables a significant number of eligible older adults to choose private nursing aides that offer personalized care.
